Old Town Magic

My adorable and uber fun niece Elizabeth is living in DC for the summer and I was able to steal her away for a night on the town.  It couldn't have been a more perfect evening if we'd been sprinkled with fairy dust.

Delicious fish tacos and carnitas burritos were followed by Dairy Godmother (flavor of the day was Hazelnut) and then a walk down King Street and along the Wharf.  Old Town Alexandria is simply magical.

Twinkly lights are a restaurant's siren call to me.  How can one not want to just dash in and be part of the coziness?  And then a name like "Bilbo Baggins?"  Pure delight.

Yep, he's playing those glasses.  We were awestruck.  It sounds like a symphony - well, kind of.   I overheard him saying he's on the top ten of Johnny Carson shows. . .

Seriously, isn't she darling?  I got lucky in the extended family lottery of life.
